I name them after comic book characters

Crusader is Ystin: Shining Knight from Seven Soldiers of Victory
Highwayman is Gregory: Vigilante from Seven Soldiers of Victory
Vestal is Xanadu: Madame Xanadu from Demon Knights
Arbalest is Michonne: From TWD
Man at Arms is Thaddeus: General Thad "Thunderbolt" Ross, the Red Hulk
Jester is Edward: The Comedian, Watchmen
Plague Doctor is Sivana: Captain Marvel's Arch Villain
Abomination is Blonsky: Emil Blonsky, the Marvel Abomination
Bounty Hunter is Jango: Jango Fett duh

I don't, I kind of like the names the developers used. I wouldn't be creative enough to come up with names, they would all be like Joe, Bill, George, John....

I usually personalize them quickly by making variations of the existing name. It feels like there's too few of them, and I occasionally see repeats.

I could understand why someone wouldn't bother at all, though, in a permadeath game. And having lots of disposable heroes they only take out on one-time delves for coin before dismissing.

Each character name represent a nickname of internet troll who I encountered while checking my fave websites, before I started playing DD. I feel nothing when my "hero" die. :)

There is so many of them. ;(

I name all of them, although I just make something up on the spot. I have 4 heroes with names that start with J only because I started using them together.

I don't really give them unique names, unless they have a name that already appears in my roster.
I do however, rename the replacement for a recently killed hero with the same name, because I tend to remember my heroes strong points and party setups by their names.

I just name each of them after a family member,and fill in all 25 lol.

Leper: Vendrick, since he's an afflicted king with a giant sword.
Bounty Hunter: Scorpion, because Uppercut, Finish Him, and GET OVER HERE.

I had a full party of Crusaders named after German longsword fencers once. Meyer, Ringeck, Mair, and Lichtenauer destroyed the Ruins.

I don't, the default names are enough for me. Besides, those default names usually carry fun little references.

I don't, i love the stock names, they have a very particular ancient french flavor to them.
I did rename Perroy to Ferroy though, because of Baer.
