both? blacksmith requires deeds and the guild requires portraits

They're pretty close, it doesn't matter too much. Upgrade whichever one you like better.
Indeed they're so close, the optimal one to upgrade swaps back and forth depending on levels and which characters you predominantly use. Speed upgrades are more important, as are levels which give DOT damage ups.

yeah both, but i am asking what should i focus more bro.
i have to choose a dungeon type for deeds or protraits, u know.

Given your options I suggest the guild. Because the blacksmith directly competes with the stage coach for deeds the latter being more important to upgrade during the early phase.

i rather choose trinket rewards and gradually increase both 1 by 1 since every consecutive upgrade costs a lot more

for early levels, I'd say blacksmith. upgrading weapons and armor twice each goes a LONG way in keeping your guys alive and allowing them to dispatch more threatening enemies quickly.

after a couple of upgrades in the blacksmith I would definitely invest in the guild, as upgrading your abilities is necessary to improve their chances of hitting (all of that damage means nothing if they never connect). It also makes party buffs and healing VASTLY better, such as the jester's party ballad (the crit buff on its own is god-like, and then you get speed and accuracy).

Both imo, but I would improve a few of ya dudes skills before some new armor/weapon. Good to do both though eventually!

Also make sure that you also upgrade the recruitment cart (that lets you hire new characters for ya party), upgrade the one that lets your party of guys be bigger (hold more of them on ya team).

Skills/weapons: if you kill stuff fast you don't have to worry about hp/stress.

My personal preference is to update the Guild once first, then go for Armor second, then Weapons. Skill upgrades are cheaper then Armor/Weapons and increase accuracy and proc chances. Misses are really devastating for low level groups, so I find skill upgrades help more then a small increase in damage.

Blacksmith without question. Your accuracy will be okay, can even be raised with trinkets or buffs, but enduring and avoiding more hits, also dishing out more damage is far better thing to have. I guess you can spend one point in the Guild too as level 2 skills are cheap anyway and you got the portraits from the start, but from then: you get far more out of the Blacksmith then the Guild.
Also: Stage Coach is overrated, I did fine with no upgrades for a loooong time. Somebody's looking kinda pale, drop em' out and get new guys. You got two parties worth of slots from the beginning anyway. People only need stage coach upgrades in the beginning who are somehow wrecking 2-3 members per run... So for the majority, it can wait. Invest in your Blacksmith instead.

You should upgrade them both more or less equally, because it's required to upgrade your stagecoach to get more experienced heroes with all their skills unlocked and their weapon and armor maxed out according to their level each week.

+ it will bring more coherence to your heroes, having a hero with high level of skills and low level of weapon/armor, or vice-versa, just makes no sense... you want to have like a level 3 hero with at least his/her level 3 of skills/weapon/armor.

So basically, the first weeks in the game, you'll be upgrading first your stage coach in order to have at least 4 heroes/week + the more room for your roster (which you want to max ASAP).

Once this is done, you can start to upgrade equally the guild and the blacksmith.

You don't need that much to upgrade your healing facilities in the first weeks, as your heroes will be disposable... unless they have godly quirks, when heroes are in bad shape, you'll just dismiss them instead of wasting loads of money to keep them in shape, there will be fresh meat coming in each week.

Don't neglect to upgrade the Nomad Wagon, it will only cost you crests, which you get by tons in any mission, and you can get good trinkets for cheap... upgrade first the Merchant Network to the max, to reduce the price of the trinkets, then, when you have spare crests left, upgrade the Wagon Size.

guild to hold like 9 heroes then go for weapons but dont do armor till like you get a quirk that lowers your health
and after weapons do guild for skills, mostly focus on upgrading skills that heal and buff

The DD forum is clearly the Ruins, because the necromancer has free reign here. There's two necroed threads on the front page - and that's after half of it is eaten by obsolete stickies.
