Sonorous Prophet...
So, it's "beneath" my level 3 heroes...yet he one shotted my entire group of level 2's with rubble last game. Any ideas how to kill this thing? best party/tactics?

Occultist to debuff his Damage, MaA to Guard those who will be marked by the red light, heroes able to hit the 4th rank. If you destroy the wooden walls you'll get a lot of money from them, though.

MaA?
Okami Jan 17, 2016 @ 8:09am
1/ ignore pew => take a party that can target rank 3/4 (so no leper), crusader with holy lance, plague doctor and a MaA for guarding rubble target.

2/ smash the pew => take heavy damage class (leper, helion, crusader...)

And bring some Antivenoms.

Seriously don't understand why anyone would bother with the pews in vanilla. They worth less gold then a whole stack of gold while taking the same amount of space. And the game throws gold at you like it's freaking candy. You should only bring MaA to guard and buff.

I usually don't bother too. But the Apprentice Prophet is a easy boss and more cash is always welcomed early game.
Last time I brought an Abomination just to crush the pews.

I bring a Leper sometimes to pew hew on the earliest prophet. Also to get himself nicely protected so when the prophet targets him the MAA can use retribution. Still the way to do in the damage bosses (piggy, prophet) is to hit them with the occultist's debuff (or both leper and occultist debuff on the pig) so they tickle your heroes ineffectually.

He deals 11-23 dmg to 1 Ally
Or 22-46 dmg in total between 2 allies.
Seems a bit broken able to 1-2 off allies every turn.

Can you lower the damage Rubble of Ruin before hand with Occultist's Weakening Curse?

Nice, being building a few Occultists.

Finally killed this guy yesterday...took a Man at Arms, Vestal, Occultist, and Houndmaster. The Retribution skill is a must. Biggest PIA boss of the first 3 levels IMO.
