Use a flexible team comp, the main difficulty of the fight is that the Hag can mess up your positioing pretty badly. By flexible I mean "even if shuffled randomly, can still attack position 3", the Hag herself has low damage and resilience, her cauldron is the main source of DPS. I would suggest, ignore the cauldron, focus heavy damage on the hag, she will go down quickly if you bring sufficient heavy hitters to the fore.

Ah, and remember: The cauldron can NOT kill the hero in it, only bring them to death's door, giving you a chance to heal them even if things go south.

Basic tips?

1: Ignore the cauldron.
2: preferably have a Vestal present to cast the party heal spell frequently.
3: Take multiple party members who can all hit the back ranks from any position in the party. Basically the Crusader & Leper won't be much help in this fight and the Hellion can't do much unless she's in the front rank and has the Iron Swan skill. You want people who can hit the back. The Bounty Hunter, Houndmaster & Arbalest are all quite helpful in this encounter. While he can't pull her the Occultist can make a few back rank tentacle attacks as well.

ok ill just ignore the cauldren then ill try that thanks. It was just getting to the point where i swear she had 3 or 4 moves during every turn. shed throw sombody in id hit the the cauldren she would hit my 3 leftovers id break the cauldren then shed throw somone else in

I'm recommending a full party wide heal over single target heals because when someone comes out of the cauldron it really messes with your formation. You need to be able to put 1 health back on all positions at all times in this fight.

In general, forget about breaking whoever is in the cauldron out and just beat her up. I assume this is about the wizened hag, and the wizened hag is a squishy wuss with barely any health.

Personally I just took a Hellion, setup camp at some point beforehand and buffed the hell out of her (Battle Trance in particular is pretty great), walked in and ruined the Hags entire family tree with Iron Swan to the face.

Seriously. It's that good. The fight was over by round two.

Most bosses get multiple turns. Look at your heroes' health bar and the enemies you face, see the little white stripe next to them? They're turn indicators. If it's gone, it means that that hero/enemy has done their turn for the round.

Bosses have two or three of those per round (maybe even four later on, I can't recall) meaning that they can do multiple turns per round. Stunning a boss will take one turn off of them for that round.

You can try this completely risky maneuver of bringing heroes near Death's Door so you can just ignore the pot and focus on the Hag, Just remember to bring people who can heal themselves in case your healer bites it (And don't bother single healing for Vestal, just party heal, you're just there to keep everyone from getting Death Blowed). Just make sure to bring people who can hit the third rank consistently.

Ranged characters seem to be the key for many bosses. I often bring Graverobbers for their Throw Dagger and Poison Dart skills. Highwayman is also great for that.

Both times that I've beaten the hag so far (Apprentice and Veteran versions), I had a Leper at the front. He might not be able to reach her, but he can topple over a pot in 1 or 2 hits if I urgently need to free a party member. Though I think a Crusader would be even better there, since a Crusader can do Holy Lance to strike the hag from position 2, and can also have a healing skill to be the party's additional healer in case the Vestal is busy or in the pot.

And then your buffed up Hellion is the first one that she puts in the pot. That messed up my strategy once and led to a complete wipe, haha. It's a risky play but man can it pay off.

Anyway, in addition to the helpful helpfulness people already mentioned, I think blight/bleed attacks are also very useful against the hag since she has low resistance to both (iirc) and she moves twice per turn. So Plague's blight does 8 damage per turn 'stead of 4. It adds up real fast. This is also a boss where the Jester is really good due to him being able to work very well with shuffled teams, as well as having a strong bleed attack.

Arbalest,Crusader,Crusader,Hellion (with holy spear) and there goes your hag. There are lots more combos but this is the basic foolproof.

i got her. it only took 3 tries lol. I even got the prophet in ruins too he was pretty easy once i recognized what his ability was.

Hag have a tendency to target your hard hitter - in my case it was always second row character. My way of dealing with it - i used maa as guardian here with boosted prot and hp [quirks + trinkets]. When maa went into pot all i have to do is waste the hag, using hm + ♥♥♥ + occ combo make it quite easy. OCC debuff the hag so she cant do much damage, HM markls her and deliver some hardcore blows after using bisquit to boost the hound, ♥♥♥ do the rest. Usually my MAA was never dropped below 25% of his HP when he was in the pot. Quite easy fight for me tbh.

tbh I think I went with a vestal hm and 2x bh and just bled her dry
Milk Jan 7, 2016 @ 11:54am
Double Vestal, load them with human slayer rings, Profane Scrolls.
Front, bring a leper and a crusader. Have holy lance on crusader, keep Leper in front spot with Life Crystal + Bloodthirst ring (or any HP up items).

Let the Leper fall in. Nuke down the hag.
