COVE?!?!

I just game back to this game after a few months and what where the devs thinking with the cove? The cove is MUCH harder than any other dungeon!

Never go to the Cove with Level 0 heroes unless you are doing a suicide run for gold and upgrades. Otherwise you might want to take an Occultist since 99% of the monsters there are Eldritch. They are also very Bleed resistant.

Yes, it's meant to be that way. I think the progression is Ruins>Warrens>Weald>Cove>Darkest Dungeon.

If you're coming back after a few months you might find the game harder in general. Honestly I've never really found the Cove to be that difficult.

I also came back after months away from the game and find the cove much harder then the other 3. The monsters there have the most versatility out of any area with almost all of the them having buffs, dots, stress damage, prot, or aoe. That being said I find them relatively slow and the curio in the cove is some of the best in the game if you make good use out of it. I'd highly suggest a PD with high dps for the front 2 enemies to get through it easier.

^^ was happy to see a 2nd dungeon with quirk removal, spamming warrens for quirk removal got boring before :P

After the rebalance i dont think the cove is strictly harder. The fish-men hunters and the buffing was nerfed, and thus it really depends on the combos you get. I do however feel you need to have more thought about your team comp here, because of the heavy anti-bleed and heavy bleed infliction.
