Something is wrong with my workshop mods.

I've lost the ability to turn mods on and off on my runs. The hammer button just disappeared and I can't find a way to bring it back. Perhaps the steam workshop integration stopped working for my client. Reinstalling the game didn't solve the issue, obviously.
Also, when I've opened the game today, I saw that all of my save files have just vanished (all of them had mods enabled).

Does anybody have a solution and/or experienced similar problems?

I hadn`t played for a couple of years and found I had something similar. I fixed it by heading to my subbed mods in the workshop, added them all to favourites (to find easily again) then unsubbed, headed to favs and resubbed again. Magical blue button was next to my savegame when I logged back in.
