For the record, I know Baldwin IV wore a mask, but its design is completely different. I was merely musing the practical use for the Leper's mask besides covering his leprosy-ridden face.
Oh! I like that theory a lot..
It's a fantasy world full of beasties and abominations like nothing the real world has ever seen (ie. hahaha, realism)... And you want a trinket system 'fixed' because, unlike 'real' people, one character can equip two masks? Having two masks on your person also does not imply physically 'wearing' both at the same time. I'm never certain why people prone to such trains of thought even play fantasy games -- no offense intended.
