"swarthy workmen" lol
lol what. do they not know what "swarthy" means or do they assume that most people who'd play this game probably don't?

I mean, I think it's hilarious because it's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. The writing isn't good enough to give it that period feel where casual racism is the norm, so it just stands out like uhhhh what, why are your day laborers all moreno lol.

It's more a fault of the terrible writing than anything else. If it were self-aware it would be one thing, but it takes itself so seriously. I've about died laughing from some of this writing.

The guy openly said he saw the population of the town as a meat resource for his satanic rituals, sure but now it turns out he might have also been racist!? D:
Oh my word, I've never been so shocked and outright offended in my life!

What kind of PC-obsessed simpleton would consider the use of the word swarthy (in any context let alone this one) to be casual racism?

I don't speak english very well and had to look this word up in a dictionnary.

It said that it was a word mostly used to describe a color of the skin, when it becomes a little darker due to spending a lot of time under the sunlight. Doesn't seem racist.

Because the definition of swarthy is a darker skin color, and making use of that adjective but no others indicates that their skin color was the most important, defining feature of what kind of workmen he hired.

haha, look at all the far-right whiners who don't understand the difference between "the writing is inconsistent and clunky" and "OMG RACISM OMG." It's so incredibly easy to trigger these "PC"-obsessed whiners, good god. You'd think they'd be dead of hysterics-induced heart attacks by now, being that they so readily jump at shadows.

jesus christ, you people are so utterly doused in propaganda that your brains are basically pickled. this is even funnier.

Or, it could simply mean that they're swarthy looking from the work involved. This is what I think of when I hear the term "swarthy workmen"[tummax.com].

And what if the workmen were described as being pale? Would that be considered as casual racism too because it implies that all the workers are white and not a politically correct mixture of races? :cfacepalm:

I don't think any of you are truly, deeply offended by this. Like all PC-obsessed fruitcakes you're nitpicking over semantics without really understanding what racism is.

Well of course they aren't o_0
I didn't think anyone could truly, deeply take one word of this ♥♥♥♥ serious enough to grant it an actual response yet here you are.
Why feed it?
DuckieMcduck Mar 4, 2016 @ 10:09am
Do you know what happens to your skin color once you've done lots of manual labor under the sun? Hint: It doesn't get whiter.

And just like that, with people disagreeing with you, you have obtained both the ethnicity and political compass of those who disagree with you, lol. Who's the one flipping anything here, again?

Mallory is famously quoted as having replied to the question "Why did you want to climb Mount Everest?" with the retort "Because it's there." :steamhappy:

why ask why :steamhappy:

when I saw the post pop up did I pile on, no. :steamsad: I said we can let this one go boys, it's there, we don't need to talk about it. :steamfacepalm:

but the people demanded a response! :steamhappy:

Vox populi, vox Dei :steamhappy:
