I wouldn't know how to do it, though.
Everyone is ofc free to play their singleplayer game any way they want, but when someone "gets sad" because he or she "have to reset tweaks" in the game files, I think the point of the game has been missed, and THAT is sad.
This way, you avoid your party being surprised. And you can very often use traps to lower stress. And you can locate hidden rooms for big cash bonuses. And in many dungeons you can pick your route in such a way as to avoid a lot of trouble, and so as to camp at the most beneficial time.
I suppose the power of scouting can almost feel like a cheat at times but really it's just a basic tactic everyone should be aware of. It makes the world of difference to any run.
