Who's Barristan and Junia?

Dismas is the highwayman you start with at the beginning of the game, but who are they?

Every class has a 'default' name, like Reynauld for the Crusader and Dismas for the highwayman. Barristan and Junia are the Man-at-Arms and Verstal, respectively (the other two possible summons for the Collector).

The names for all the classes were in the game files at one point, (and you can find a listings of them elsewhere on the internet if you like) but only those four actually cone up in-game.

As a side note, these 'default' names are also used for the starting names of the characters in the sequel.

Would you say that we are supposed to see it as these are the same characters as was in the first game?

I always find it morbidly amusing to make Dismas carry his own head in the early game.

Apart from Dismas, (who comes prenamed in both 1 and 2) the heroes in DD1 are more representing archetypes instead of characters the way they are in DD2. While you may get many people with the skills of a Man-at-Arms, Barristan is THE Man-at-Arms.

I used to also do that before I gave it to my hellion along with the brawler's gloves so i can just one-shot everything in the back, mainly Viragos.
