There's blood, there's permadeath (for your heroes), you can go through dungeons with no torchlight (total darkness).

The bosses can be harsh and are a mixtures of demons from another realm, undead, brigands, and monsters.

its a rogue-like game (deigned to kill you with procedurally generated mobs, maps, and traps) based off of the works of H.P. Lovecraft a famous 1920's horror writer and all-father to everything ithllid and eldritch.

This game hates you and would be happy to show it by randomly making you miss while causing your enemy to endlessly crit and debuff you. This game is brutally unforgiving and the luck can turn on you without notice. Enjoy!

in the game you meet an exhibitionist who shows you his "collection"
depending on the situation, your party members can have a heart attack and die from that.
so yeah.
