Is there a way to JUST rest

Hi guys,

I restart a brand new game after a LONG time without playing it, but after three attempt I can only just add one decent game, I have been slain during the last ones, but in the third one, one of my caracter just can't stand unholy creatures and my last crew member was a abomination, so my game was screwed... Once again...

Is there a way to not be forced on mission??? Just stay still until the next week for every caracters...

I know I will have a disappointing answer, but I ask anyway, the game prepared me well to disappointment...

Hum, can't you just, recruit another hero? Or if you lack room, just dismiss your abomination and recruit somebody to replace him.

There are no other ways to pass the weeks in Darkest Dungeon but to go on an expedition.

I can't recruit anyone, I have recruited everyone...
That's why I was asking the question in the first place, but like I said I was ready to be disappointed...

You can (and should!) expand your stagecoach right away--get it so that you can recruit 4 heroes per week, and aim for ~16 heroes in your roster. You should be able to do most of these upgrades with your starting kit of heirlooms.

Don't worry overly much about quirks anyway... You can certainly complete Ruins missions with one person having Fear of Unholy or something. It's much worse to have one person with Kleptomania or Curious (stupid Reynault).

The best thing to do is just take whatever team you have to work with and try to do the dungeon. A lot of the early missions may only require you to do 1-2 fights to win (especially 100% room battles on short), so there's a decent chance you'll be able to finish. At very least, grab what loot/heirlooms you can and abandon the quest--if you take minimal supplies, (8 food, 4 torches, 1 shovel--or even 4 food, 1 shovel only if you're feeling daring), you should be able to still make a small profit off of minimal loot. If you're really desperate, take your 4 worst heroes, send them into the Darkest Dungeon area with no supplies and get your party wiped out. Then you'll get a whole new batch of heroes to take. You can repeat this a couple times if you want until you get a team you're happy with.
