It is the main skill of the mini bosses in dd quest 2. It is very damaging so you need the talismans on all 3 heroes and you probably want a guard skill for the 4th. They prevent any damage taken on the heroes that have the talismans making the quest possible to beat.

It protects you against enemies, who use Revelation-attack. You will meet this kind of monsters in DD2.

It protects you from the main attack of the Templar Warlords and Templar Impalers, which there are 2 of them in the second Darkest Dungeon mission. The skill is strong enough to usually bring someone to death's door in one attack and also piles on, like, 70 stress or something like that without the talisman. You HAVE to have a Man At Arms for the 4th character during the 3 Templar fights in that quest.

MINUS damage and MINUS stress. It's a DEbuff for enemy attacks in the next darkest dungeon quest.

You don't NEED a MAA, you can do the same justice with a Houndmaster, but logically, if there's a trinket that needs resistance against one skill, it's probably deadly (and consider the strategy if there's only three of them)

The problem is that Defender is just a better skill in every possible way, and you don't have to renew the guard every turn, rendering the houndmaster useless other than for that purpose.

That's a good point, I just don't like using the MAA because he has absolutely no damage compared to the Houndmasters in other battles (that bonus on beasts kicks a lot)
Thank you so mcuh. This is very useful information~~
