How do you tell if characters are religous?
I know it's probably something simple I've overlooked, but I never figured out how to tell if a character is religious. It's not in the character sheet anywhere I see.

I think Vestals, Crusaders, and Lepers are religious, and the rest aren't. Basically all of the characters who hate Aboms.

Weirdly, the quirks that seem like they should add religion (God-fearing, etc.) don't actually have any effect on this.

Indeed those are the ones, and as mentioned they don't go with the abomination, so if you ever unsure about a character just try to place them with an abomination. If it works they are not religious.

Each heroes .info file indicates if they are religous or not.

Nobody finds it.

While he doesn't count as religious for the game, for me the Abomination is religious in my eyes, as his stress/life points healing skill shows the same light that is present with the other religious charakters, wich means that he is favoured by their god 'the flame' (if that isn't the name of their church) as well.

i think thats with every kind of healing skill? but abomination is a good key word, if i am not mistaken, you can find out if a charakter is religous by trying to put him in the same team as a abomination, the charakters who are religious will say that they dont want to be in the same group as him and he also mentions, that "those with faith" will not want to be with him. and not only the text indicates that they dont want to be in the same group as him, but they really cant be put together in one group

Why do you answer a post from late 2016? What is wrong with people?

I thought steam deletes old threads

as far as i have seen, this was the most recent post about the question if a character in game is religious, and it could be, that people today still want to have an answer to this question (probably not the original author of this thread, but others), so, why should it be problem? if you dont like it, you can always un-subscribe a thread, so you will never notice when peole might answer and old thread

By the way, the actual answer is 'you don't.' It doesn't say anywhere in-game which heroes are religious. Have to look it up on the wiki or check out the .info files yourself.

so there is a way to have characters, which count as religious, to have in the same party as an abomination?
sasiji Apr 29, 2018 @ 3:58am
No. If in .info files are tag religous then abomination won't element party with that heroes.
Only method to have team eg abomination-crusader with religious crusader (some campfire abimity gives bonuses to religious) is change abomination .info files and delete abomination religious-party blocker (i dont remember how it looks but if you compare abom and any other hero you will find diffrent code).

If you wanna only some heroes can go with abom. eg. vestal yes, leper no, crusader no, flagellant no, and all that heroes be religious then you must add new tag to everyone exept vestal, delete abomination code to not go with religous, add code to not go with "the new tag", make new localisation files to they dialog.

For vanilla characters that are religious are the vestial, crusader, and leper, flagellant (dlc). Some mods will also add characters like the seraph and inquisitor, and exorcist who are also religious. I have also heard talk that if a religious class has the Faithless quirk they will still be marked religious for some things but also not suffer debufs on camp skill that negatively effect religious characters now thats only hearsay so take it with a grain of salt. If you want to know something you can always consult the wiki as posted below. Have fun slaying!

You heard wrong.
Being Religious (or not) is stricte related to hero tag "religious" in each hero info file.
If you have "religious" your hero is religious;
if you don't have tag "religious" then your hero is no-religious
(tag "non-religious' do nothing).

Only things that can interact with hero tags are:
Blocking heroes parities and Districts
and if religious also requirement for campskills.

You are answering this already-answered four-year old thread.
