The names have no bearing on whether a comp is good or not. There are great named and nameless comps, just like there are bad named/nameless.
It is best to make comps for yourself rather than use them just because they have a moniker.
"Sightseeing Tour": Three antiquarian and Hellion. It's very good for Hamlet's budget and given that Hellion is a powerhouse and can get to insane DODGE due to antiquarians is not really that crippled in combat.
There's tons of party combos really: probably there's some more than actually do well
I stumbled on this one by accident, and I can't say I use it a lot but as I remember it worked pretty well, and I still have trouble working the grave robber into teams:
Charlie's Angels: GR - VES - MAA - HEL (I immediately renamed the Man at Arms "Charlie")
Also, have you ever tried mixing up the Usual Suspects? The team comp name changes depending on their positioning.
The Red Hook: PD - VES - HWM - CRU
Tricky Glory: PD - HWM - VES - CRU
What you actually asked for was:
As said, the names have no bearing on whether a comp is actually good or bad. Most of them are just references and memes -- but sure, there are obviously named comps that are good (and bad), just like there are unnamed comps that are good (and bad).
For the sake of giving an answer to the new question, the very first comp you get is one of the most solid and balanced named-comps in the game.
Yes, it has some friction between GR and HEL every time you want to lunge-rampart-lunge. The only way to work that out is using "Breakthrought": that way HEL can do something and she's not a stump in the way of GR for suffling backwards.
For skirmishes will do well, but in long winded combats and farmstead reset is not easy without using Shadow Fade which is not always the best way to go around it.
That's one example of party combos not neccesarily being good: swapping HEL for SBR or HWM will actually make a better party while none of those are actually named IIRC.
Yeah, as I recall after the initial lunge I just kept the GR throwing knives at rank 4 or using pick to the face on the frontliners since those tend to have prot. I have also stumbled on a good comp with a SB and GR, but never manage to remember who the other 2 were. I'm really not good at using GR in general.
