If by "like DD", you mean "rogue-like which kills you mercilessly but is fun", look into Sword Of The Stars: The Pit.
Every class was fun to play with. Assassin with their shadow stitch, time mages, dual wielding soldiers...etc.
FFT will always have a place in my heart for its immaculate writing. I felt it was a pity they did not continue making quality SLGs and instead turned attention to make bravely default series + octopath, all of which are inferior and bland turn-based rpgs.
Square always has and likely always will pay homage to games respecting its universe and also make a habit of ensuring those playing newer games aren't short on fan-service in-case they are there purely because of liking some of their past titles. FFXIV has incorporated fan-favourite bosses from many past titles (Kefka, Exdeath etc).
Here, enjoy Thundergod Cid from FFT. The hardest boss in the entire 24man raid (which suits his reputation as being a broken character in standard form). Even speaks (almost entirely) in limit-breaks.

I wouldn't mechanically compare Final Fantasy Tactics to Darkest Dungeon though. Very different games in their approach to combat AND how they tell a story.
What? No. Final Fantasy Tactics is inspired by real world events. Well not the magic and stuff, obviously, but that's pretty by the numbers for Final Fantasy. Collect magic stones, ancient evil trying to resurrect, blah blah blah. The games major conflict is heavily based on the War of the Roses. They changed it to the War of the Lions and added some artistic license, but the seed of real events is there.
ANYWAY... back on topic. I can't think of any turn-based rpg's that remind me distinctly of Darkest Dungeon. Is it the bleak tone TC is interested in or the game mechanics? 'Cause games that expect the player to die and are built around it are fairly common these days. Rogue Legacy and Castle in the Darkness spring to mind, but I'm sure there are plenty of others.
LISA: The Painful rpg is probably the closest example I can think of regarding a dark turn-based rpg... but lemme warn you right now. That game is really freakin' dark. Extremely. Described as: "A life ruining gaming experience" by its creator. My opinion? I don't know if it ruined my life, but it was definitely a gaming experience. A dark, dark gaming experience.
