"the raw strength of youth may be spent,
but his eyes hold the secrets of a hundred campaigns"
I imagine him tipping a fedora.
"Send this one to journey elsewhere, for we have need of sterner stock."
"It is done. Turn yourself now to the conditions of those poor devils who remain"
People gravitate too heavily towards the quotes based on combat... the crit quotes, the kill quotes, the etc. The calmer quotes can be just as good.
"He'll be laughing still, at the end of things" - Not sure if wrote the last part correctly. Its when you recruit a Jester.
"The way is lit, the path is clear. We require only the strength to follow it."
That narrative line for your first boss in the Warrens has a wonderful and terrible way of letting imagination fill in the gaps of what exactly has happened in that area.
Definitely this one but another I like is:
"Elusive, evasive, persistent. Righteous traits for a rogue."
He just has to be an utter ♥♥♥♥ doesn't he?
