If you have it in your roster already, you won't acquire it from random events on a character who currently exists on your roster. However, there are reports of new heroes showing up with a "unique" quirk that already exists on another, and I believe the From Beyond event can restore a character with that quirk even if you already have one in your roster.
There might be other oddball situations where you end up with more than one character in the roster with a "unique" quirk. For instance, I'm not sure about whether "never again" heroes or Shard Mercenaries count as being "on the roster," since they don't count against how many heroes you can have.
How so you get rid of a quirk?
(other then get enough quirks to replace it)
So if someone in my town has it, no-one else can get it?
That guy will have to be dismissed or killed to have it's chance again?
You can remove it in the Sanitarium just like any other quirk.
You can remove quirks?
I thought you could only lock good ones, remove bad ones?
You can also remove good ones. Just click them twice.
