Baron's Invitation?
I received the Baron's invitation after a fight and I have a couple of questions about it. I know it's part of the crimson curse dlc and allows me to go to certain event missions but I believe I have already received a Baron Invitation before. Am I okay to remove it from my inventory or do they stockpile so I can have multiple attempts at the "Baron event"

Thanks for any insight!

You need them to get into the Baron's courtyard mission. The Baron's mission (and likewise the Viscounts and Countess') is a gigantic, unmapped dungeon that you are very unlikely to be able to take on in jsut one go. Instead you're supposed to abort it eventually, and when you come back the next time, you start in the room you left. Every time you go in, you use up one invitation.

Am I able to see how many invitations I currently have?

you will see the number of invitations on the mission select screen above the courtyard section

They are dropped by a courtier, one of those ugly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ midget monsters, and if you don't kill them in time, they disappear and fill up the screen with four trash mobs you then have to fight (the "Elusive Exit" attack). So you really have to do focus damage on that specific dude whenever he shows up because even if you don't want an invitation, you don't want to fight a bunch of trash either.

I also think the more heroes you have infected in your roster the more likely a courier pack will turn up as it relates to the infestation level. So to answer one of your questions, if you delete or not pick up an invitation it is not really an issue, plenty will drop over time.

They stockpile and give you multiple attempts at the baron event.

One attempt costs one invite

As far as i know it is not true. People tend to overthink how things work here, infestation at least is completely random how fast it can progress, and i dont think more infected heroes cause more invitations either.

The specific guy who drops the pack is called Gatekeeper and looks like the Manservant from the Courtyard but you can see that he's carrying an invitation instead of a serving tray.
