Any way to increase Inventory's Capacity? So painful going for long missions... I feel like i'm losing about 20k...

There are a couple of mods. And Antiquarian adds an ability to stock more money, etc. into one cell.

I won't play with any mods. Original game has this mechanic with Antiquarian, right? Now stack is 1750, what quantity with him in squad?

*Her
Also each Anti increase stack of gold by 750g. Also using anti on curios produce additional loot in form of antiqs so even more money.

But they're so weak and useless in battle, on my opinion))

That... That's the point. Subpar battle stats for better loot.

You're not 'losing' 20k. The game is balanced around you having the inventory you have.

If you need more money, throw away heirlooms and take more money, or vice-versa.

The dodge buff of antiquarian is pretty decent tho. I sometimes get 2 antiquarians for a LV.4-5 dungeon and buff the team's dodge attribution twice each round, and let the others do the fighting.

Just don't forget to examine curios with them. Only then will you receive antiques from curios. I learned that the hard way.

"Finding the stuff is only the first test - now it must be carried home."

The game is built and balanced around the existing inventory. You're supposed to have to struggle with it. As the others have said, bring an Antiquarian, the ability to bring home more loot is the whole point of her character.

She's tactically weak, but strategically strong.

Like most things in Darkest Dungeon, it's a trade off, a question of risk management.

Where is it written ingame that antiquarians get more loot from curios ?

83k profit via triple-ANT.

ANT's are always so underappreciated in a fight. Do bear in mind that being worse than other combatants is not the same as being bad outright. People who actually put value in dodge (yuck) have pushed up to 1.5k endless waves with ANT-ANT-MAA-MAA. I use them quite often as solid backup healers and DoT spammers seeing as certain trinkets make their heal comparable to ARB/MUS bandage - which is one of the decent ST heals in the game.

This video was just accidental funsies, but I wager some people with better teams have struggled harder than these did.

TLDR: Yes, they're designed to be weak in a fight but they are useful nonetheless.

I hope you reconsider on that. I recently installed a workshop mod (on Steam) to increase inventory space and its a game changer. I swear I was leaving thousands of gold worth of loot behind with the original limited capacity. Sure you could argue it makes it too easy, but with the heavy RNG its never going to be a easy game. Its just making it a bit more fair :)

Except it is an easy game - and it's already bending over backwards to give you the advantage. No offense, but advocating a 'game changing' (cheaty) mod whilst also bewailing RNG gives a certain impression (and has no real bearing on the fairness of the game).
Original Gengar Mar 5, 2021 @ 4:18am
People throw around "easy" too much for games they've played for hundreds of hours tbh. It's not an easy game, you're just good at it. It's definitely a fair game, but most things seem easy to someone who spent enough time on it.

As a wise man once said
It is difficult in its own way - a winding road to the top of a mountain of knowledge.

If any modifications would be better for the original experience of the game, developers would add them to the game. I'm never playing any games with any mods added, for the first walkthrough. Only major exceptions, like buggy to non-playable state Gothic 3.

It doesn't say it in-game. The hint is the magikarp principle. You take her because she is weak, and then notice your gold's gone all weird.
Also an antiquarian is unnecessary. I find she's so powerful it breaks the economy. Functionally infinite money.
