When you have only 8 trinkets total, you keep them all :p
But later, you have 40+, and you cycle through a top tier of about 12 of them:
+ some Ancestor's
+ rarely a Head (not always)
+ many class-specifics. You can keep 1-3 per class
Then you have to weigh whether a new trinket earns its way into that rotation.
Sell immediately if:
- it just isn't good enough to replace an Ancestor's or class-specific, so you'll never wear it
- it's a duplicate (you need only 1 of each)
- it's for a niche you're not chasing (like torchless items)
I sell just about every all-class Common, Uncommon, and Rare, and many Very Rares.
It could be a wonderful trinket, but if it's not Top 12 or Top 20, it's a benchwarmer.
Many trinkets fall under this rubric.
