You favorite mod classes and accidental synergies between them!
I want to know them.

I got a nice one synergy with vestal, grave robber, flagellant and shieldbreaker

Shieldbreaker impaling, flagellant lands sorrow or punish ( depends on the situation) and grave robber executing with his daggers or more blight dots.

Those are all vanilla classes though. I mean it's a good set up for sure. (Grave robbers are female btw.)

Got a handful myself, though some are overpowered and others are niche if not underpowered.

Complex Compulsions & a couple other mods that add more quirks can really diversify how you have to play given characters, for example someone stopping to check out every corpse is still bothersome, but they also might have resistance to blighting and accuracy against blighted enemies; still rarely get some stupid combos like 'only prays' & 'cannot pray' or boosted scouting at low light, but the unpredictable variety expansion is pretty good.

How the Bandits Stole Christmas, okay this one made me laugh, it's pretty well done including enemies items quirks and a district. A mostly jovial side quest if you're tired of the grotesque beat downs, and the equipment is fairly good but not restricted. Be warned that the quest for them is short but hard, though unlocks it's own district for ease of grinding later.

Pet Store Patch & Pets 2, an alternative to the trinket sets from Crimson Court in about every way; offering every class (and just about every major modded class) a unique pet to empower a handful of their features at the cost of eating more food, unless you don't mind equipping snacks lol. Like the previous one it's about all inclusive in functionality; but instead of a district it has an extra store page in the nomad's wagon and pretty expensive, also it's quests are long and hard.

Beyond Mortality, like the previous two this one is a big mod including quite a few additions across the board; however offers an extra hero to stomp out those pesky poltergeists plaguing the ancient home, and he's pretty versatile to boot.

Fractured Reality, this one adds the color of madness enemies to the general rare enemy pool, so once in a blue moon in other dungeons you'll come across a party of husks or husks mixed in with native monsters. Keeps you on your toes if you've got it down pat how to beat every area.

Cho's Boss Reworks & Abyssal Horror Miniboss, whoa boy these caught me off guard for how much more difficult they made it, but in a good way. Without spoiling anything . . . cho's adds or alters some mechanic to every boss fight so they're either not as predictable, or more punishing if you ignore their predictability; while the A.H.M. has it's own quest and is uniquely terrifying even if prepared, but like the thing from the stars, it comes back when you don't expect it.

Mimics! Unlike other extra monster mods, this one will make you paranoid. Though a particular game setting inadvertently gives them away, they're not to be taken lightly as they'll always take a surprise round on you and have multiple ways of messing up your party. They drop more gold than normal chests at least; a bug I've noticed is that they trick the 'clear all rooms' quests into being done a room or two earlier than they should, but it's not game breaking by any means.

Most trinket expansion mods were never intended to be played together, which can quickly lead to some fun niche builds and abusively strong combinations; oddly some only function high on the list while others only do low on the list, not a clue why the difference in priority matters, but when mixed up some will override others. Just pick two or three and it should be fine, they'll show up anywhere and everywhere eventually; these combinations can make even the base classes stronger than the modded ones.

The Inquisitor & the Warden class mods, fairly similar in that they're durable party sustainers that have some deceptively useful debuffing tools too, one up front one in back. With the right trinkets either can carry your team, either by crippling the enemy squad or keeping yours comfortably battle ready; I wouldn't say being strong is a bad thing, it's nice to have a fallback when your primary vestal & occultist get buried.

Marvin Seo's Lamia & The Librarian are great alternatives for most parties, offering much needed healing and calming but able to do much more than that; the first being similar to the abomination for putting up the smack down at the cost of panicing your crew, and the later similar to the antiquarian for buffs and debuffs besides quickening the level grind.

Omen Seeker & Exaelus' Enigma, yet another pair of class mods that can benefit about any setup. While she doesn't have a lot of damage or direct team boosting, she has a wide array of debuffs to ensure your party can succeed; he on the other hand mirrors the occultist, having a heal in a pinch but plenty of pain to bear, interestingly instead of dodge he has damage reduction which makes for some strange strategies.

When the patches don't break the game anyway.

Here's a crazy synergy. I wouldn't use it myself, but it has potential...

Lamia, Keeper, Sisters, Celt.

The synergy is Deliberate Stress. Both the Celt and Keeper hit harder the more stressed they are, and both the Sisters and Lamia cause party stress anytime they change forms. That's also three position-dancers. So the entire party is running around, straight up murdering everything, while scream-laugh-crying the entire time.

Just try not to have everyone keel over from heart attacks.

ZT thanks for the advice, I appreciate the time you took for this, it's a lot and I'm going to have fun!

Omen Seekers are great around dancing teams too I find, they can bring something to a fight regardless of position. Maybe it's my morning...bonbon...but I'm not a huge fan of her physical design but it's not like I'm making any quality mods or contributing anything. Lamias hit the spot while keeping their balance too and absolutely shred with stress and blast teams, Keeper is great, I feel a bit OP with her sacrifice and recovering but you got a tank that can absolutely destroy with cacophony. She IS a Keeper! The Sisters I need to understand more (so discuss any strategy you like them for here too!) and if someone could give me some strategies or pointers for Butcher Bird and Thorn I would be greatful! Whatever teams you like them in, etc.

I like both the female and male Heirs, they are versatile but aren't OP (but anything can be with synergy!) I have the Hood and the Tusk and the Offering but haven't worked with them yet. Librarians are great, and Grove Tenders. I am also using the...blond guy with a spear? Looks flirtatious but can fight and changes stances. They're cool! I also have a rescuer, the guy with the two st bernards, seems a bit OP though but he's fun.

I usually stick to brute force teams but that only works in lower dungeons. Keeper though is really helping me along.

Phantom, monk and seraph work very well together as mark/religious party.
BoxingBud Sep 3, 2020 @ 1:16pm
I've been having fun with scholars and keepers, the scholar can lower the keepers stress deliberately to make her stronger but also she can defend everyone with sacrifice anyway, so the additional guard requested by the scholar is basically bonus stress control.

Yeah I rambled more than I should have, but glad to hear it was helpful, you're welcome.

I rarely run shuffling parties myself since I tend to mess up who's got the most speed, but I usually keep someone on the team that can function in any placement for those surprise rounds; and I can agree there, she's rather excessive for my preference too but I just wrote it off as some curse from a rival ♥♥♥♥♥ or something lol. I tend to pair up the Lamia & abomination to tag team down a rough enemy party in a hurry; thought about mentioning the keeper but decided not to since she's nsfw, though I was impressed with her depressing lore scattered throughout the game, just needs a hug.

The sisters I struggled to use effectively myself, maybe she needs high speed to combo with herself or someone else to debuff or stun enemies for setup, sorry I couldn't be much help there.
Thorn I haven't played, but glancing over her move list; she seems to be a utility dps breaking stealth and guards while benefiting from marks, having limited sustain and guarding but negligible mobility. My obvious choices for team members would be the houndmaster & bountyhunter as both can mark and also benefit from attacking marks, though the modded class constable also comes to mind for the same reason.
Butcherbird I've ran a few times and would say she's an off-handed dps like the jester, being fairly good in shuffle groups but struggles to carry the team by herself (understandably so in retrospect lol); crusaider & highway man would also be good for shuffling with her I'd think, but a bit restricted since her mobility is less reliable.

I haven't gotten around to playing either of the heir mods, so I'm not sure what else to say there but I agree about synergy. The hood & tusk I've tried and can see their potential, but I generally used the shrapnel more, hood is a party buffer and shuffler while the tusk is more of a big bad slayer; though could be most of my mod picks were front line ones already. Personally didn't like the offering or grovetender myself, not that I couldn't use them but didn't like the first one's style, the later I found myself just spamming one move over and over.
The librarian is a mid and late game medic I'd recommend for speeding up grinding, as both her destress and heals give the party a stacking experience earned buff; but don't camp or this buff resets, so usually I'd have someone I know can carry the party paired with two weaker members I'm trying to catch up with her.
That last one rings a bell but I couldn't find it, think I've used him in the past but dropped him for other mods.

A couple others that come to mind would the Thrall, Succubus, Exorcist, Acolyte, and Zealot.
Thrall is pretty much just a bruiser that can take a beating and dish it back, as long as it's in melee reach of course, a straightforward frontline tank.
Succubus is a bit strange but would suggest playing her like the Lamia, staying in the back by default but moving up front when transformed; however her human moves are more crowd control instead of party buffs or sustain, and her transformation can make her a sweeping machine if you farm her on long quests
Exorcist is a cross between the crusader and occultist, having multiple bonuses to fighting unnatural horrors but able to keep your team standing in a pinch, bit more flexible on position and composition too.
Acolyte is also weird as an alternative to the arborist, having ranged attacks and multiple ways to heal; her twist is that she can summon a ghost to a free spot on the enemy side, any of your heros attacking this specter get healed, but any monsters that summon extras will often defeat this upon bringing in more opponents.
Zealot is kind of a melee version of the acolyte but fully offensive, though she specializes in human enemies which limits her use, but keeps her a nice counter pick for the christmas & pet mods since they're almost exclusively humans; her summoned monster attacks and crowd controls other monsters while locking out a spot for them to summon stuff too, but if it doesn't break itself before you've finished the battle, it'll punish you with full party stress spams.

Sorry for the rush, got hungry lol.

Had an idiot realization earlier, I forgot I was subscribed to this guy thanks to youtube constantly burying my feeds, he goes into excessive depth with most prominent mods including the sisters.

I also saw that we have a female monk and I want some sort of female martial artist, but the one I saw looks very out of character on here. I did see Tifa from final fantasy 7 I should try her out but ideally I like characters that are gritty. If I want a female martial artist (we have scads of male ones) I want her to have scars, to be leathery, not supple or soft. Give us the grit! I love that there's lots of older characters like the BB or ...whatever the armored gruff dude is with the mace. I'm going to watch this video now on the Sisters, and probably other ones, I haven't tried the Thrall yet and I can see there's a video on him too.

I've also tried out tifa and only ended up playing her two ways, either in a shuffle party or as an extra bruiser. I'm no modder though I think the wyrd pariah has a female skin. As for battered brawling babes . . . only a few come to mind; fawn, seraph, & werewolf. Anyway good luck
