The Thing From The Stars!
A pretty interesting and tough surprise boss, comparable to the fanatic. Killed it on my first try but I had to abandon the mission due to high stress (the quest reward was poopy anyway).
No spoilers, but a tip: When it's under about 45% health it jacks up its protection to 80% along with other buffs. Luckily I had a shieldbreaker with me. I acquired many shards. Was good.

It's a bit broken, in my opinion. High PROT would be one thing, but all the other buffs make it an RNG fest as to whether your Vestal's going to get blighted for 14 by 3. The high Blight resistance of the thing means that unless you're carrying bleeders or a Shieldbreaker you're going to get your ass handed to you.

Honestly, the 80% PROT isn't as bad as people make it out to be, especially given the thing damages itself every round.

The PROT isn't the bad part. The +15% Crit is. Not only is your party to going to lose a lot of HP, but you're going to be taking a lot of crit stress ON TOP OF the large amounts of stress from the boss iteself.

I did not have a SBR and I got it down to 17 hp. Champion variant too. Decided to run because losing a hellion isn't worth. I made some mistakes, though. Definitely could have killed it with that party.

I didn't check its debuff resistance. Maybe HM ftw?

I just fought him/it. And it went exactly like the thread creator. The unique (or rare or whatever) relic that it left, is sucky (I remember it being, but I can't actually remember what it did lol)

I had to retreat. I had no skill to lower his PROT, so my attacks were dealing 1-2 damage - was on a green short dungeon. I had only one bleeder also...

DOT doesn't really help.
You just gotta do what you can.

I didn't find this boss being particularly interesting, not too boring either. Just kinda meh.

What helped me, in my very particular case, was to blight the thing with my Plague Doctor, and it removed like 5 hp every time the thing wanted to attack me. And given that the thing attacks more than once per round, it killed itself pretty quickly lol

This boss is the first time that the pick Grave Robbers carry around got used for it's intended purpose - breaking rocks.
