corrupted savegame?

Hi,

I have issue with my major savegame.

First of all I should say nothing was wrong until I installed game on different computer and tried load savegame there - it keeped crashing. Normal game (new one) worked without issue.

Now back on original computer - loaded original save normally, proceeded - but crash at Dungeon end screen. Now it is still same - I can go into new dungeon, everything is normal, but at end of dungeon game crash. Not only that, Hamlet is stuck as well, there is no action taken, no stress or quirks healed, no fresh meat at wagon, week infromartion is completely empty. I still get loot from finished dungeon properly though.

So far I tried disable synchronization of save with cloud and verify game files, but no help from that.

Any clue what I can try (I realy doe not want los 70 weeks progress..)?

EDIT: I tried party wipe with same effect (esacped without issue but it dont progress a week)

Also it is normal there are no files in savegame folder? (only empty/0 bytes fodlers profil_XX)

i have the same, it started a few days ago after killing the sodden crew; my saves are transfered through steam cloud (i switch between linux and windows). Crash at 'return to hamlet'. Loot is stored and week progresses but no hamlet updates.

Interesting. Maybe it cna be somehow related to latest patch and my messing with second computer is just coincidence?

Try this and please report, if it works!

Your save files should be in the folder Steam/userdata/...../remote. Copy the save games into the folder User/MyDocuments/Darkest and don't start the game with Steam.
Instead use the Darkest.exe in the folder _windowsnosteam, which is in Steam/Steamapps/common/DarkestDungeon.

This was the only way so far for me, from stop the game from crashing since like 3 or 4 pages ago. The game starts without Steam and there should be no more crashes, when loading a game.

Did all steps, but sadly it is still same (I tried go with 1 peon for wipe and game crashed at her deth:/

Just to clarify for me (and tjebe very likely) there is no crash until end of dungeon (at moment loot table should appear)

have to go so can't try that out myself right now, but yes, it only crashes after the mission. Just tried a full teamwipe myself, crashes the instant the last person dies.

After a restart, initially the save was gone completely, but then appeared again after a second restart. And Guinand is still in my roster, feeling pretty stressed about the whole ordeal.

Same here, game crashes after ending dungeon... Same in non steam mode with backub save... Feels bad if my original steam save is broken... -,-

running without steam did not help for me either. I also just noticed there are quite a few more threads about this, so hopefully this gets picked up and fixed soon.

Hope so, I don't want to restart and lose my progress... :(
