Wizened Shrew?
Found this guy and cant find any info on him....

Anyone else found him? What was your experience?

I brought every item and gave him everything. Nothing had any effect but blood... Anyone try not using anything?

Blood is the only item that works on him.

Using nothing can:

-Do nothing
-Give random loot (half of the loot you'd get form using blood)
-Get infected with a random disease
-Get nothing

so the hooded shrew must be the same as the wizened shrew? theres nothing specifically pointing out the "wizened shrew"

Pretty sure OP just got the name wrong.

Edit: didn't realize you were OP, sorry on that. I googled 'Wizened Shrew" and nothing came up, and remembered the hooded shrew interacted with blood so I sort of assumed. If I'm mistaken than I'll just escort myself to the door :P

Yeah I think that's the hooded figure on the floor in the courtyard give her (shrew is traditionally a prejorative term for a woman) some blodd for trinkets. It seems very random, but you know if you have pack space and too much blood.

I find them to be kind of a waste of time, since they generally only give you common quality trinkets and occasionally uncommon quality ones. But yeah, there's two versions, the one without the hood functions the same as the hooded one it seems. IMO save your blood, since sooner or later you're going to need it.

trust me. instead of a hooded figure its one of those crepey things with the wig on his knees... called "Wizened Shrew" i should have taken a screenshot...

Pretty sure the male version is the only one that gives trinkets for blood. And I did get a ancestral trinket once so isnt a complete waste.

Ok, THAT is an important tidbit to know! Since I have the district that gives me two bottles of 'The Blood' every week, I have a huge surplus of the crap so it isn't exactly hurting me to carry more than I need and to give it away to each one I see.

Also to Xratedsippy: Yeah, I know which one you're talking about, it's the one on its knees with arms outstretched. From what I've seen so far it functions the same as the cloaked one.

I've also gotten Rare and Very Rare trinkets from them. I'm pretty sure it's just RNG what type you get, weighted towards the more common ones. It's pretty much always worth giving the blood to see what you get, unless you're already critically low on blood.

so im the only one on the steam forums thats seen the "Wizened SHrew" over the Hooded Shrew D;

AM I GOING MAD?!?!?1

If you ever see a vampire with a wig begging where the hooded fellow should be then you must be going insane as well

I'm pretty sure a bunch of us have acknowledged seeing that one as well and figuring that it's pretty much the same as the hooded one.

It is odd that thw Darkest Dungeon wiki itself doesn't talk about the wizened shrew. How rare this meeting is exactly?
wusch Jul 8, 2017 @ 12:39am
I had the wizend shrew (the one looking like the other vamprires) as well and she gave me trinkets. She appeared just now the first time as I entered the viscount dungeon. I didn't see her at all in the Baron Dungeon.
I noticed the lack of any info about this curio on the wiki as well, I've made a note about it on the discussion tab for the curio page with the data I've found in the files.

If I'm reading the data correctly, interacting without an item has a chance to do nothing, produce loot, get the Eldritch Killer quirk, scout, or get diseased.
