The only response to reaching 100 stress for this guy is becoming RAPTUROUS, which gives him crit and damage, and nerf dodge. It also makes him to have some bad "behavior" sometimes like, attacking by himself, hitting someone, etc. But nothing too bad. It's mostly a boost overall.

Really wish people would stop branding buff/self-turn states in a positive light. Yes, a Rapturous Flagellent and certain Crimson Curse states give a 'statistical' buff -- but there is NOTHING good about a situation where characters can randomly decide to perform actions themselves. The rate at which they perform self-actions can be surprisingly high, and can happen at the absolute worst of times.
Moving themselves (back or forward), inflicting stress on the team, attacking your own team and applying marks or DoTs, passing turns, slapping random enemies with random abilities (including corpses). I don't care how many +stats these states give, that is no incentive for losing control of your team - a staple-reason as to why getting afflicted should be avoided at ALL costs.
Rapture/Curse can be forgiveable when you are in complete control (healthy, no stress, fights not proposing much of a challenge, lost turns not meaning too much), but that can turn on a dime - especially in Champ.
I see no point putting a Flagellent @ Rapturous, much like I hate getting Crisom Cursed. I only feed the hero for Bloodlust purely because it is a better state to be in than craving or wasting. Outside of that, they are still just afflictions (with some +stats rather than entirely negative stats).
