Does stress drain while in town?

To elaborate: Do heroes drain stress between missions when they're not being used? Or do people just discard them if they're too problematic for the team?

If they are idle in town they recover a tiny amount of stress, like 5 or so.

If you have the DLC there is a building that improves this value and some town events also help.

I do have the DLC but disabled the 'main part' of it (I checked the other two) until I get a hold on the base game itself.

Yes it will drain, but minimal per week. So normally early game if heroes suffer high stress plus lots of negative quirks, its better to discard and have another one.

Unless you kinda fond to a hero that have specific quirks, you may want to retain them and send them to Abbey or Tavern which costs some gold for stress relief.
