STEAM Controller Not Working For This Game

I use a Steam controller and have tried to download other configurations from the official one to the community ones. Whichever I choose, I can't seem to simply click on anything without the game prompting me to either press X or O as if I have a PS4 controller. I can't do anything as simple as clicking options because I get stuck at the apply/discard screen, clicking either one or pressing any button from any configuration I download doesn't let me go any further.

Can anybody help?

PS4 is the only kind of control sheme currently in the game, xbox controllers also dinda dont work.
Try emulating a PS4 controller with your STEAM controller maybe? With the right input it should theoretically work..

Turn off controller mode in Darkest Dungeon settings. Options --> Control Options --> Controller Enabled
