Level 2s and get a comp that can hit everywhere. Bleeds and stuns help too.

I killed him in my first attempt with 2 level 0s and 2 level 1s so it's definitely doable

Have you tried hitting him with weapons? I find that usually works.

plague doctor for all rank stuns/blight is pretty good (i had double blight skill trinkets to make it work), hellion with damage trinkets is good, flagellant's heal is super strong so brining him along is a good idea.

but no crusaders, no lepers, etc. etc. go for an all rank party. and i would avoid mark synergy parties since the two turns of the crocodilian negates a lot of the possible damage from marking.

lol. i even installed no level restrictions mod and still failed my attempt to kill him, even though i had no problem with previous bosses in vanilla game

I did it with one level 0 and 3 level 1s. However only the Hellion survived...

I won with a flagellant, dog bro, occultist, and plague doctor. All were level 1. It was a very very tough battle. Harder th an the apprentice. I may have won... but two of my people were at death's door by the end and everyone was stressed to hell and back.

I used Occultist, Houndmaster, Flagellant and Man-At-Arms. Occultist and Flagellant can both super-heal, HM can taunt and hit anywhere the Croc is at, and MAA can taunt or go for a lucky stun.

Flagellant makes it really hard to lose assuming he consistently gets attacked by the Croc.

can you please tell me what is the flagellant's heal? i see a lot of people talking about it. What's so special about it?

Below 50% health, he can heal himself and another character for around 30%+ each at the cost of debuffing himself. The debuff doesn't really matter in the end, since it lets him get damaged more and keep doing the same heal.

If noone else needs healing, he can also do a move that hits position 1/2 and heals himself for the same amount, whilst applying a fairly massive bleed to whatever he hits.

Combine these abilities with the trinket that gives him 33% healing skill boost, as well as the fact that he gets boosted by his unique stress affliction (+dmg, -dodge), and you'll find he can carry you through some nasty fights with no deaths.

In all honesty (SPOILERS) I embrassed the new blood and torchlight mechanics, putting everyone on +18 ACC whilst having mad SPD and DMG buffs. Was still nail biting but he soon went down.

If you are having trouble with keeping the crocadilian in the right spot, you may want a bounty hunter to hook it to the front, he seems quite easy to move. After that wail on him with your choice of party, preferably something hard hitting like a crusader or make it bleed with the highway man.
Jork Jun 20, 2017 @ 6:58am
Killed my croc in one try with no deaths and no resolve checks. My bounty hunter did get cursed though. Level 2 Bounty Hunter, Level 2 Grave Robber, Level 1 Antiquarian (had no choice) and Level 1 Vestel. Everyone was as prepared as they could've been (upgraded skills and weapons/armor)

Antiquarian was able to blight the croc because my existing save was pretty late-game so I have a ton of nice trinkets. Tossed the hag's ladle and blight stone on her which allowed me to stack blight despite Croc's resistance, which made my Antiquarian not completely useless during the boss battle.

Vestel kept people alive and was able to use Judgement on croc for damage/self heal. Bounty Hunter was in charge of stunning (brings croc from 2 turns to 1) as well as pulling and dishing out damage. Grave Robber was able to hit Croc no matter where he was.

These were the only guys I had low level enough to toss them into the Courtyard, party composition wasn't the best but I still managed to do it. He wasn't that hard for me.

Obviously, I don't recommend bringing an Antiquarian, but everyone else was pretty solid. I just had no other option since I was late-game and only had 4 party members eliglble for this mission.
