How does Heart attack work in The circus?
I just finished a match using a stress team and was stressing out the enemies frontline just fine, the Flagelant died normally but when it came to the crusader he was capable of taking 6 heart attacks before he died, Killing that crusader alone cost me two of my own which resulted in me being left with my graverobber who could only deal basic melee damage while she got stressed out and died of her first heart attack!
Is the Crusader able to take more heart attacks or is there something i've failed to understand? From what i know having "Heart attack recovery" makes the next heart attack you get Instantly kill you, bypassing Death door chance. The Enemy crusader? He just marched through it, even though im salty i gotta respect that crusaders determination till the end!

If 200 stress & over 0 health, heart attack to 0 health and reduce stress to 170(?).
If 200 stress & 0 health, instant death.

Same as PvE.

I don't beleive there's such a mechanic in the game. You can go to the death door as many times as you're luck allows you to do.

From what I have understood there are 2 ways of killing a char on this Circus mode :

Stress : You need to take him to 200 stress, then he'll will get hearth attacks. If he has life, he'll go to death door, and if he's at the door already, he'll die.
Downside of this, is that it takes some time to take place and you can get wiped before that.

Damage + Finisher : You take him to the death's door then you use a char that has like a big chance of finisher, like the Bounty Hunter "Finish Him" attack + a finisher item.
Problem with this is that you kinda are fighting against him non stop, he'll keep healing the char forever at more than 1 HP and it gets kinda dumb quickly.

Honestly, first method seems more consistent from what I've seen until now, but I hope future proves me wrong, since I don't like the stress meta.

The most effective is combining stress and raw dmg. If you push the enemy with stress and low hp hard they'll be stuck constantly trying to either: keep the char off the death's door or risk loosing part of their team trying to knock out the main stress dealer.

My characters don't get heart-attacks in PvE. Don't even remember HA-Recovery. That isn't a thing in PvP either way. Securing a kill = bypassing their DBR with finishers (or RNG), or inflicting a heart-attack on 0 health.

Next time you get a heart attack try hovering your mouse over the skull at the character who got heart attacked, it will say "Heart attack recovery"
