That's a crimson court trinket. That means that was not a key chest but a prize chest which, as I said, you open with your bear hands.

Next time be nicer or shut the ♥♥♥♥ up.

Those strongbox will only contain either door keys or CC trinkets depending on where you found them and no items needed to open them.
