Crimson Court : The Baron, an unbalanced RNG boss
I tried 5 times the baron now, and lost 2 full teams. This boss is so hard and unbanlanced, because bad RNG can just tear your team apart. I left the boss at 2 an 6hp in 2 runs, he survived because he crit heals too much. A fair balancing is really needed for this boss, because he also locks the crimson court and makes unable the healing of the crimson curse. It's so frustrating, and it just destroys the fun of the game.

If you dislike the Baron, prepare yourself for the Viscount tbh.

Here i am, shaking my head after killing the baron on the first blind attempt with no problems.
Something literally every streamer i watched managed to do, so no, you only need way better dps and straight up burst him down. Git a gud team for once and you are fine, DOTs help a lot.

If the Viscount has same RNG mecanics, so yes i will dislike it, and no longer enjoy playing the game. I know this is a hard game, i already lost some people against the collector and the shambler, but the crimson court seems totally unbalanced. A boss fight should not be totally RNG-based...

Viscount was even easier, i dint even see all his attacks, it was kinda disappointing, you know...

If you have teams to suggest, i will listen, because i already tried 5 differents teams. But the main problem of my defeats is the number of crit heals he did. I saw videos of this boss, and all people killed it easily because he didn't do so many crit heals.

I don't quite see how it's RNG tho. Since you cannot heal, bring no healers, or bring an aggressive one to heal in late stages only. Break eggs one by one, get some PROT around, bring some bandagers and maybe Laudanum for the horror, and mostly, more damage.

Viscount can be cheesed with the proper strategy, but if this guy got trouble with the Baron, he'll have more with the Viscount tbh

I brought a lot of bandages and Laudanum, and took a damaged-based comp, but it didn't worked, because the boss did a crit heal like half the time he used The Thirst, and he uses it at least 1 time in a turn.

Use stuns to deny every second of his turns whilst killing off the eggs one by one.
Like that you can keep the incoming damage low while also being able to heal in the end of each act.
Flagellant is ideal for heals, combine with HM (STUN and mark damage), Occultist and arbaleste. If properly buffed, the arbaleste WILL crit for ridiculous amounts (50+ dmg)

But stuns wastes a turn of damages no? And the baron plays 3 times, so it's not very valuable? Or did i missed something? Same problem for marks.

I had some big problems with him. I had to kill him on my third attempt as I had wrong team for him at the first, second time he kept crit healing for 40 HP every single time while criting with his AOE. Thired time I was able to kill him.

I've only had 5 deaths total on my run. Guess what boss they died on? It was because I didn't know the strategy, and I played risky.

Honestly, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is TOO EASY if you aren't a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

My first blind playthrough went the same as yours, but it wasn't because of RNG. It's because I went in blind and didn't know how his mechanics worked. Took a risk and it didn't play out.

Here's my first ever death, and it was Dismas. Everyone and their mothers claim that I was playing too risky or stupid. Honestly, I don't try 99% of the time cause this game is too easy. I guess they are right, because if I actually tried, nobody would ever die:

Episode 63 Dismas Dies (1st death ever)

Correction on my earlier post, I never wiped on Baron. That guy is literally dies to a strategy equivalent to face mashing your keyboard. It was actually the Viscount because I didn't know his mechanics.

Episode 75 Viscount BOSS (full team wipe) - cause I was stupid honestly

Episode 76 Viscount BOSS killed by using strategy + face mashing keyboard

^^ Those are the only 5 deaths in my entire run. So far.. Just farming weeks till I can rez Dismas and get achievement for beating game.

I had two members of my group using stuns all of the time. They dont all work of course, but it was enough to prevent him from doing much.

Wrong, his skills can screw you over really fast if you do it blind. I've seen it on YouTube and Twitch too, many streamers got really lucky with their RNG. Have you also seen how many of them struggled with the Crocodilian first? It was hilarious, they had strong trinkets + good team compostions, yet screwed themselves with bad decision making and bad luck with RNG. For myself though, I never had any problems with Crocodilians, he is even easier than the Collector in my opinion. I just fought the Baron for the 3rd time, even though I had the perfect team setup, he managed to get a good chunk of stress and damage into my team without even completing the third act.

At first, I really thought that my first two strategies sucked as hell, but I've been trying to prepare myself for the third time. I wrote everything down on paper. I used the best trinkets and(camping) skills possible, yet he still f*cked me over.

I actually think the Baron is a really hard fight, probably the hardest in the entire game, but I don't think he needs straight up nerfs, his move skill justn eeds major tweaking, or maybe even a complete rework.
The crocodilian mini-boss is a bit dangerous, but i killed him at first try because his mecanics are pretty easy to understand and he is predictable. As you said, streamers got luck on heals for the baron. So killing him is just about getting lucky on his fight... a bit sad but well i will try it again.
