The Narrator

Is it just me, or does the narrator make this game at least five times better? When I first saw this game I thought he would be annoying as the game goes on, but as I played my first ten hours his input and commentary really set the mood well. He could lift you up after a nice critical hit, remind you not to be too confident, really set in the peril of your soldiers at death's door, and more. It makes me wonder why other games don't use narration like this. What are your thoughts on him? I would like to hear the other opinions on this.

My most loved part is his narration when a hero gains a virtue it always feel awesome ESPECIALLY on boss fights.

Wayne having a fantastic voice is just about the only thing everyone here can agree on.

One of the best achievements of Wayne narration about the various details of this game is the effort made to match all the new and most recent quotes to the previous ones.

While the ear of any seasoned player of Darkest Dungeon from the time of early access (when only Ruins, Weald and Warrens were navigable) can sense minor differences between early and later narrations (listen to any bit of the Necromancer story and any bit of the Drowned Crew story and you'll surely sense it), and while I pesonally feel that quality slipped down a little (like from 10/10 to 9.5/10 ^^) with the arrival of the 2nd boss per area, nobody can say that the voice acting from day 1 early access (february 2015) feels totally or even slightly divergent from the finished product and even it's first DLC arrived more than 2 years later, it feels so damn professional!

There is another game called Bastion that has a brilliant narrator, that says everything you are doing. He sounds just like the narrator in Darkest Dungeon actually, maybe it's the same guy!

I highly recommend Bastion BTW!
