Cleansing Bookshelves?
When I click on a Bookshelf, I get the option to use an item on it.

However, I have yet to find an item that does anything.

Is it possible to Cleanse a Bookshelf? If not, why does the prompt appear?

It's there to trick you and make you waste items thinking it does something. I also think you can burn books & bookshelfs.
