Crests... crests everywhere.
So I have kind of a problem - every time I come back from the raid I end up bringing a whole wagon of Crests and bearly any other stuff needed to upgrade the town... am I doing something wrong?

Are you mostly doing the Cove? The dungeons tend to favor a particular type of heirloom... busts in Ruins, Crests in Cove, Deeds in Weald, Portraits in Warrens.

You can exchange one type of heirloom for others on the town screen (down where it shows your heirlooms). Crests though are useful, you need a huge number of them as everything uses crests to upgrade.

That sounds great, I wasn't aware that I could trade them.

Right now I'm going mostly depending on my crew... and I am running out of short missions...
I advise you to have suicide squads, those you recruit lvl 0, send to no torch runs, and then flee and fire taking all the money and handling the world a few moderately dangerous people with ptsd.
Actually you will be needing those crests in late game, since upgrades start asking for +60 crests, like Blacksmith lvl 4 that is 86 crests.

I advice aginst them, if you play correctly you don't need them and you waste potential Experience with wich you could level up.
Well, in NG+ surely its a terrible idea, or if you want to get "In such haste" archievment outside a NG+ run.

It was a pretty popular strategy before the Abomination.

You don't really need to run 0-levels to death, it's much better to slowly introduce more decent heroes and survive. Onc eyou upgrade the chapel a few times stress costs on low levels are minimal, certainly a lot less then the huge money bonus you get from winning a long mission - which is unlikely to happen if one just throws a 0-level team at it. Success pays better then 1/2 failure, and it also gets you a big roster of decent heroes so you can tailor your team fo rlater missions instead of running the same old "Vestal - PD - Highwayman - Crusader" mediocrity through every dungeon whatever thier quirks. Build a deep roster of survivors, upgrade cost reduction and you'll move efficently through content without too much trouble.
I think its beter to rush the sanatorium and upgrade the tabern, yes, the tabern seeemingly has more chance to have a negative outcome after the activity (drunk, lost gold on a bet), or atleast in my experience, but if you are playing that way its better to make cheaper the removal of bad perks from your heroes so they are more efective the next quest, specially the "Curious" "Kleptomaniac" perks, which are the worst imo. Especially at hig lvls where removing a reinforced negative quirk costs 5k with the sanatorium fully upgraded.

Shift+left click=no more crest in your inventory & free space for useful stuff :break:
