Can you equip a rat carcass in the town to prevent blood being used while wasting?
Deciding if I want to get the rat via quest. Don't know if this would work or if it only works while you're in a dungeon.

No, they will drink even though they wouldn't die if they didn't. The ancestor's vintage seems to work though.

Huh? Not following you. I'm assuming you mean they will drink regardless if the rat carcass is equipped and would die if they didn't.

Too all: I'm assuming all items will never work in town no matter what the item is?

The Rat Carcass will save them if they're wasting in town, but if you still have blood in your inventory, the game will make them drink the blood even though they have the carcass equipped. It's only useful if you really are completely drained of Blood and want to protect your favorite heroes from dying to the Curse.

Okay, but just to be clear the rat carcass WILL work in the town, not just the dungeon. But the priority goes to any blood stashed away in provisions/inventory. It will only go to the rat carcass if there's no blood left.

Just curious, have you tried this this yourself? Or did you get it from someone else?

Got the info from someone else. Never really needed to test it because I almost always have a surplus of Blood.

Will other items (not dungeon specific, percentages, etc, obviously), possibly work in town as well?

The only other one I know of that has a similar effect is the Ancestor's Vintage, which makes it take longer for your hero to enter the Craving phase.

Well, I was wondering not of just similar effect with the crimson curse, but any other item in the game that deals with stuff besides the curse that I should be aware of.
