Where did my items go??

A bunch of my items, very rare and some ancestral items have just disappeared from my inventory randomly. And not from the shrieker event or from a hero gambling. what happened to my items and how can i get them back?

This happened to me very recently. I still don't know what happened. I am more resigned than anything by now lol

well apparently if you lose a total of 8 trinkets in any fashion the shrieker can show up without the weekly event where he steals from you and you can gain those back through just surviving the 4 turn fight. if mods have created this loss i do not know if this is taken into account.

as for things i understand that cause a character to lose trinkets it goes like this:

1: character death
2: gambling and drinking both i believe have trinket loss chance
3. also if the characters dissappear from town they can lose the trinkets in their absence i believe
4. thief in the night weekly shrieker event

these are im sure issues that have happened to me to cause trinket loss. there may be others though unsure.
