I would 100% recommend the cataphract, the slayer, and all of marvin seo's character mods. All of them are balanced and fun to play and each add something to the game. They fit in very well artstyle-wise as well.
the slayer is also pretty cool, but that one is pretty new the balancing might be a bit off.
the twilight knight seems also cool, but the stress heal is a bit much.
Mods should always just be corrections of bugs that are left in the game, or more fitting content. There should never be any of these called "balance-mods". Those are practically just bad players using cheats to make the game more casual for them as they're not conditioned to take a proper challenge. All the other titles they played are games that holds their hand through the way and features regenerative health, and checkpoints after every second step taking away the responsibility from the choices and action. This one have a decent challenge compared to all the other games and that is discomfortable for them, they cannot stand that and make mods to turn the game more forgiving and rewarding.
The only mod I would've try is something where you could CHOOSE your quriks after each level-up! Thus you could build more specialized heroes, able to fulfill their roles all the better.
Imagine playing a Fallout game where you can only get perks randomly. Once you get Sharpshooter, next it's Heavy Handed? That would suck! But that is what's happening here with your Arbalest having Precise Striker and whatnot. With that mod, you could have a melee-crit focused Jester, a Tough+Hard Skinned MAA, an Undead Slayer+Hunter Crusader etc... Characters would feel more developed, there would be certain kits, a Highwayman focusing on quick acting Point-Blank shots, a Flagellant that is faster, crits and does more melee damage below 50% hp...
These kits would be accomplishable for once and our roster would feature acutal developed characters not just ones that have more ACC just because they have high levels. Can someone make this please?
The only broken thing about her imo is that every skill you use gives a quest long +5% buff to resolve xp so even after a short dungeon you might go out with like +100% xp which is a bit silly. But there is an optional patch for this which makes it so you have to collect research notes which you get by looting curios with her (like with the antiquarian) and those give you the xp buff
I have other class mods too but this is the only one I could try so far
there is no way to get it anymore as far as I know
and I didn't back the game on kickstarter
so that is why I'm asking
