Unfortunately, you generally have to whittle it away slowly.
Sometimes, the Fracture does a dumb attack that costs it one of its turns, and sometimes you can bring it up to the front so Leper actually gets to hit it directly.
Generally, though, it's a fairly tedious slog with most party comps that are able to deal with the rest of endless well. You should be able to control the damage output of the crystals to the point they're meaningless, though.
A Jester spamming Ballad and HWM shooting it from the second position while Leper takes out the small-medium crystals in front is how I did it, and I wasn't even aware of what it does.
