A small bit of help with bossess after the sleeper
So I ended a regular run with a houndmaster at 93 stress and a Vestal at 100 (but she was virtuous so not afflicted). Stuck two Virtue Ringa +25% and started a CoM run. Hilarity ensued, and despite making a few mistages I'm now past the Sleeper with 4 virtuous guys. One is Stalward, the others are vigorous.

The Miller was a bit of a pickle but I did end up getting through him, and I finally figured out how to handle the damned first phase of the Sleeper. When CoM came out it was very easy, but then AoE attacks got adjusted to not have easy crits (fully justified) and I struggled until I figured out how to deal with those crystals. (Switch up the skills for just long ranged damage on the guy and keep reapplying a mark with one guy for more damage).

The team is Crusader - Vestal - Houndmaster - Bounty Hunter.

Crusader has lance, stress heal, tanking buff and whatever I feel like (anything works honestly but the AoE is kinda the most handy as you can finish one guy off and hit another one or a crystal). I put the fancy new crystal sword on him, and in a rare turn of events I put his CC heal and stress heal trinket on him. I'm not happy with that one, but wth, it didn't end up costing me.

Vestal is the standard Vestal - Backrow kit with Prophet's Eye and Virtue Ring, and when she got Virtuous I move the Matchstick to her for crits, damage and stuff. She's rock solid and does all I want her to do.

Houndmaster started out with a Virtue Ring and the Matchstick and currently has... Noting, some move resist trinket and some "recieve more healing" trinket I found. And occasionally the matchstick, like against the Crystals.

Bh started out with Surgeon's Gloves and Hunters Talon. I didn't want to go for Feather & Focus because I knew I'd be moving Virtue Rings around.

So all in all my trinkets are a bit of a mess. I just went for a gamle with fully stressed out guys and I wanted to see whether I have had figured the crytals out. Turned out I did.

---

NOW - What I need help with: Are the bossess after the Sleeper random or what? If not, what order do they come in anyway? Can you meet them mid-vawe or only after waves? One boss every wave or something else? Anyone know?

Because I didn't put in many serious attempts at the thing yet and this was only a "let's see if this works" thing, but since I'm here I might as well pick me up some achievements...

The bosses are random after that, i have encounterd : swine prince , shambler, shreeker, the siren, and the thing from the stars which at a certain point keep repeating. They allways spawn as soon as you fill the whole bar. Like the Miller and the sleeper.
I dont think you will be able to get far with your setup but you can try.

Ty!

Enyone had differnet experience? Is the Hag in there? Does the achivement for killing them all work?

Any particular obvious reason or you just don't like the setup?
Sorry yes the Hag is in it too. I had big problems against her because you cant dodge the attack which throws you in the pot and dodging was everything my setup relied on.
No maybe it works but i think its risky just in case you have a really bad boss fight.
But still go try maybe Im wrong and you just own it.

Recovring after the miller was pretty nasty, but then again I did do quite a number of mistakes during the run. And I'm not happy with my trinket selection. So it could work better. I'm just curious how far it will go :) It was just a test for those crystals, so I got what I was looking for (I beat them a few times before, but since the AoE nerf I've noticed they got a bit tougher to just plow thorugh).

Well, didn't get to another boss yes, but I scored a small +stun chance trinket which is now on the Vestal, and the Houndmaster got the Matchstick. :)

I added a mod to make him appear but I'm still looking for that stinkin' COLLECTOR. Last guy I need to find in endless mode.

The randomness of bosses can be a true killer, I also did a full dodge run and it was working great, but if I ran into the hag it would have been insta-game over.

So you get afflicted and use HM+CRU to remove it, yes? How?

Yes, basically. I lucked out and simply got straight Virtues (actually no, I did get an affliction in between Virtues, but washed it off with the Crusader), but I did bring in two Virtue Rings (+25% chance), and two almost afflicted guys who hit 100 on the first turn. Being casual and mindless I even forgot to swap the rings to the other guys next round.

Shambler just went down, didn't even touch me. Someone might, though, overconfidence, slow killer and all that... Got a Jester-only trinket, shame.

Right, yes, how? When I try it, it doesn't work. If I have to wash an affliction off basically my party is already done. Even with HM+CRU combo.

I didn't even use the combo, just the crusader. Virtue Farming is highly luck dependent on which affliction you get. Some just mess your whole team up, some just get washed off in time. Also, if you walk in with two guys who are one passed turn away from the roll, and they have the rings, then you're much better off, obviously. I'd say it's a bit dodgy - but it's still rather luck dependent and it can be difficult not just washing an affliction of but keeping virtues on. It also seems to take some really silly stalling shennanigans, too.

What helps is figuring out the regular Farmstead composition and how to properly stall it, and noticing stalling opportunities elsewhere. It's... well, it's actually not even easy.

But now I'm kinda in luck, I suppose and things are going smoothly. Maybe there's a boss out there which can mess me up, or maybe a really nasty combo of enemies. I have no idea what I'll do vs. the Thing and it's insane protection for example. And honestly I only got through the Miller and the Sleeper because I knew when they'll crop up and adjusted my skills. Wasn't the best Miller team it turned out, and I barely recovered from that fight, but I beat the Spleeper up really well.

I also seem to be dodging a crazy lot of the time. Does Vigorous bump dodge chance?

Also, has anyone reported that the Collector is missing? Because some bugfix update added the Hag and specifically stated it, but I didn't see it mention the Collector.

Doesn't answer my question, sorry. Oh well, I tried.

I tried doing it several times, it only worked this time. Either it's really luck dependant or I finally got better at it due to some tips I got in the meantime. What's your exact problem, maybe I've been struggling with it too?

Or just add me on Steam, and you can check out what I'm doing and compare with what you're doing. Who knows? I wouldn't mind seeing how other people play, either...

Well, fair enough.
Think the farmstead is the RNG fest Red Hook always wanted but never quite actually built.

Wouldn't go so far as to call it an RNG fest. Well, ofc it is one, it's an endless series of battles, but not the way you'd think. It's not over once you have 4 virtues, they can fall off.

And Red Hook were very paranoid about not making a RNG fest, trust me on that one. With the game I mean.

As for progress, I just managed the Thing. Ended up with Sky Taint on my BH. Two rooms before I had a nasty situation - enemies got +10 dodge and were all stress dealers, so my BH had his virtue drop off. Picked up "Focused" on him a bit later, which I'm not sure is better than Vigorous (being randomly healed is nicer than I thought it would be).

I also had a big stroke of luck after the Thing with the mass-destress curio. However, out of 5 rooms in this wave ony 2 had any curio at all, and the trinket was another identical copy of the Jester-only thing, so it's eh, not that lucky. I mean, I seriously screwed up my trinket and neglected the all-importan +acc, and now out of 6 trinkets I found one is kinda ok (+15% stun chance) and one is meh but at least usable (+40% healing received) and 4 are duds. So you win some you lose some.

No achievements yet, ehiter.

So, Shambler and Thing down, bunch to go. My guys just got somewhat de-stressed (a few Virtues were threatened), but I've got 2 mortality debuffs and haven't seen a fireplace in a while.
