What happens when I kill the Countess?
Killing the current CC boss clears off Blood Curse from all my guys. This is (ATM) very annoying because I want that Fanatic kill achievement which you need the curse on your guys for. It's also annoying because I very much like having it on my guys for silly brutal buffs it provides. Ok, it's not necessary for all your guys to be ridiculously buffed (I suspect that bossess were meant to last for more than a turn), but it's kinda hilarious. And I enjoy the bickering, too.

What happens when I kill the countess? Can I get all my guys to be drug fiends again? Do all those nice monters I gladly paid for stop showing up in regular dungeons? And if there are more of those overpowered CC trinkets which I didn't find, how do I find them after there's no more bossess in the Courtyard?

Ty.

well, the only thing you should know is that you cant fight the fanatic any more once the countess is dead. Also no more bloodsuckers anywhere but in the courtyard.

Ty, good to know about the Fanatic. Sucks about the bloodsuckers, having them around was a huge pro to the DLC :(

1. You lose the Curse on everyone and bloodsuckers stop showing up outside the Courtyard. The Fanatic disappears.
2. A repeateable Courtyard mission featuring a bonus boss that you can farm for blueprints and CC trinkets appears, and the Gather the Blood missions remain. These feature bloodsucker enemies and the chance to get your guys infected all over again.
3. The Curse becomes treatable in the sanitarium, like any other disease.

Ty. Gotta get that Fanatic on time, you guys saved me potentially having to start over for that. :)

Big shame about bloodsuckers going away from regular dungeons. They really could've left a side mission type for the courtyard which could let you manually up the infestation level so that you could get some to show up. Like, you make so much of a ruckus in the Courtyard that a bunch of them just flee elsewhere as flavor or something :D

I'm so awesome that he's avoiding me. Shows up in the hamlet looking all mean and stuff, then when I send 4 CC guys with nothing but bleed damage to look for him in long champion cove, he chickens out. They beat up everything and get some quirks removed. True story.

Fanatic spawn is tied to infestation, this features will vanish once you kill the countess. This means also bloodsucker enemies in cave/ruins/warren/cove.

And I don't want to come of as an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but weren't you the guy lecturing other people they were wrong in the "tier list" thread about not knowing how to play classes and yet you haven't even finished current content once? :s

I took a break, and I'm having no problems with any content which came up between my break and now. And the Fanatic just failed to show up, no new thing has inconvenieced me one bit so far. Killed the Baron wihtout prepping with a Vestal on the team, killed the Viscount in 2 turns. I'm having trouble finding the guy, not dealing with him.

Most "new content" since I took a break were things I specifically asked for to be in the game anyway, and most if not all buffs and nerfs were things I said needed to be done, too. So for me the game simply had a little bugfixing from where I took a break and some obvious stuff got put in.

Funny thing is that at the time people were complaining that I played too much so I knew too much about the game for my feedback to be applicable to the average player. It's worth a chuckle to now have folks saying the opposite :D

So anyway ty for all the help for this guys, I'm just reporting that I found the Fanatic. Went on a Thing From The Stars chasing run to get his junk with 4 cursed guys in hope I can also finally get the Fanatic achievement while I'm at it. First I fought the thing, he got killed, then I had to walk around a bunch before the Fanatic finally decided to show up. He's... alright I guess. I did get good Occultist healing rolls, but it wasn't cruical. He's like a Hag that's kinda more vulnerable ot DoT's and helpfully moves to the front every so often. Nice encounter.

Party was cursed up HM - Occ - Highwayman - Hellion, but they got shuffled around a lot and my Houndmaster spent a lot of time at the stake. I forgot to take Riposte on the Highwayman which would've helped in multiple ways.

I had a bunch of consumables (forgot to use the snake thingy I brought one-of), and only my Highwayman was properly doped up with blood (everybody else just took some blood for the smaller buff). I had some Laudanum handy and Holy Water, and since I was in the Warrens I also happened ot have torches so I turned the light up a lot. I thought I'd be doing most of my damage with DoT's anyway so it seemed like a good idea to avoid giving him crit chance. Can't complain, even if I didn't really get that much chance to bleed him with the Highwayman.

Seems like a complete shame you perma-lose the encounter once you kill the Countess (it would be solved with my proposed fix that's over in the suggestions board). Not sure I'd mind having him around in the Farmstead - the guy who's mad enough to chase after squads of 4 doped up on blood curse would be mad enough to fight regular guys, IMO.

Oh and the opening quote for a dungeons with him in it is my new favorite one. My wife heard it, and she knows nothing about the game but she said "Wow, that's really well said!"
