Light based effects in DLC areas?
There are a great many trinkets, some quirks and maybe even some abilities, that have effects based on whether the current torch level is above/below some value. This is normally easy to understand

However, the two DLC areas: Courtyard and Farmstead, both have no standard torch meter. they instead do something screwy with light and torches mostly dont do much

How do light effects work in these areas?
Are they always active? Never active? Do these strange light effects count as a specific level?

'Special' lighting-conditions like those you describe always count as 100% Torchlight. That means that any effect that's described as requiring OVER any particular level WILL activate.

So yeah, stuff like the Ancestor's Candle and the 'Sun' series of Trinkets are great for bringing into those areas.

What the first guy said. Courtyard and Farmstead always count as 100% Light, so think carefully about your choices of trinkets, as well as your heroes' quirks.

Thank you. Someone in another thread said that the Crimson Court counted as 100 light (true) and that the Farmstead counted as 0 light (wrong)

At least I have the inventory space to just take off this Moon Ring so I don't get +10% stress for no reason, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what a waste of a trinket slot just to find that out.

It makes sense that both these locations count as light 100, too, since they're outdoors.

Yeah, dunno why anyone would think that the Farmstead is short on light. Indeed, it's absolutely AWASH with light! Slightly UNHINGED light, but light nonetheless. :P

2 trinket slots is too few imo.
Theres a workshop mod that adds a third trinket slot, it's the best mod i ever installed
