What are good ways to use highwaymen?
I have gathered 6 highwaymen because the first one was really good, but now I'm wondering how best to use them

I have some of their trinkets and those combined with their camping skills makes me think the best way is by either making them a range highwayman based on gun skills or a melee highwayman based on knife skills

if you have six the first thing to do is a 4 HWM party to a difficoult mission in orderd to loose some of them, than they are actually better at killing front rows enemy or supporting your dps with AoE for finishing off the bleeding/blighted but the game seems to hate multiple kill days so get ready for subsequent misses (ye not even dodges just straight up "your" fault)

Riposte is the best way (duelist advance)
you also can use antiquarian for a better effect (she can mark hwm)
If you dont have a second hero to switch places with- point blank shot is good move
Tracking shot is needed in any build
His crimson court set is realy strong and worth getting.
Everything else is up to you
I personaly never used grapeshot blast and dont like it that much.

front line for point blank with guy behind him as shieldbreaker so you can move them back or forward as needed for point blank /riposte :melee:

Hmm, most of these plans are a mix of range skills and melee skills

Should I ignore the highwayman trinkets and camp skills then that focus on melee or range?

his range attacks are not very good unless, like stated, you want to finish off low healt or conditioned enemy that's why other are reccomending to just line up blank shot as much as you can and that's it

Point Blank Shot is a range skill thought (strange but that is what the game list it as)

Does it not use the range stat boosts?

That's clearly the design intent, but it's wrong. You almost always want to switch between guns and knives mid-fight.

This is fun but will get you killed in champion dungeons.

Generally what you want is to have pistol shot and duelist advance, and use it to snipe the back lines at the start of the fight. I like to start him in row 4. Once the back is dead you can move forward and use slice or open vein as suitable. Last slot is personal preference - either grapeshot for cleave or point blank for reversing shuffles.

Edit: or tracking shot if you need stealth piercing.

Just figured I'd throw this in

The reason I have 6 Highwaymen is because they keep leveling up and refusing to fight in dungeons. And I like them so I get a new one to go into those dungeons when I can

Also Dismas now holds Dismas's head. Feels like that thing from P.T. "The only me is me. Are you sure that the only you is you?"

ye point blank is ranged but have you seen the requirement in target position and hero position? it quite conflicts with the other important skill you have in the ranged department wich is pistol shot
dismas is good for his ability to hit across the enemy formation(and eventually destealth bacrows when necessary), if you focus on point blank only you are missing out on a good melee + DoT attack and sniping support to prevent stress
for that very reason i'd say a 4 HWM party should perform decent enough to clear a dungeon albeit with maybe a loss (wich in your case would be good for space imo)

You can go pure melee, pure gunslinger and Duelist Advance/Point blank

Remember that most important targets are in the back, so you can just shot them with him.
But he is also good in melee.
Most fun i had was with 2 of them doing Point blanks, the first one had +2 speed from a quirk while the 2. had -2 speed from a tinket.
This way they could just eat up all foes
