Yeah, noted (wiki and patch notes haven't changed at all) and I normally would believe it, but 84 weeks with more than few encounters with the escaped loons have made me question the accuracy of that.
People have also had all 3 boxes by week 30, so I'm going to have to say my suspicions are still a little raised. I come back at week 208 (4 years of this, if that were an achievement) and I'm calling BS.
Over two games, I had over 100 hours before I got one of these boxes.
After I got the Crescendo Box, the next two Madman encounters dropped the other two in the very next mission. The odds of that have to be fairly ridiculous.
As long as we're necroing, I just saw two Shambler shrines back to back, in a short mission no less.
Really? I've seen that post about 2 shambler Alters coming out fairly often on Reddit.
Like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/darkestdungeon/comments/90yv2n/necromancers_last_line_of_defense/
So yeah, good luck with that.
--EDIT-- and then 15 mins later I get Aria Box, so I guess i just had to complain about it.
I didn't get any of them for a couple hundred hours and then got all three in back to back Madman fights over two missions. I don't know how rare they are but they're not as rare as the Tempting Goblet (sometimes those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wine flinging skellies drop those).
You can call BS all you want, OP, but this is how chance drops work. There is no evil developer controlling your game remotely and gleefully cackling at your lack of drops, believe it or not.
Fantastic attempt at starting something when there's nothing to start. The OP was back on Jul 23rd and it was a head scratcher post rather than anything else. Get your giggles by poking babies with a stick like you used to, you'll have more success.
Good luck with your drops.
