so you just gotta be patient
There is a game over on the hardest mode but ... Yeah that's the hardest mode
If you play on Stygian/bloodmoon however it will show you a game over screen after around 100 weeks time or 13/16 deaths, meaning there is a time AND a death limit.
I consider a "game over" when you are forced to lose all progress and start from the beginning. It's a bit discouraging when you send a team of stone cold killers and they get murdered, but it just seems odd that you can still build your way back up.
I suppose I'm asking if there's any detriment to losing or taking a long time to complete the game. It seems there is none - you'll just beat the game eventually, even if it takes forever. When thinking "roguelike" I think "lose all progress." I suppose that's what "Stygian" mode is for.
So ... would you mind enlightening me on the suboptimal situations? So long as it you don't spoil anything storywise (I imagine that the longer you take, the more detrimental events happen to your town).
Arguably not a game on easy/meduim.
