At least have them on level 5, their weapon and skills on level 5.
It is entirely possible to have heroes be beneath 1 level of the actual quest level and go through it.
But it's risky.
Hmm... But the reward is an ancestor's trinket.... Looks really good. Lol.
Ancestor's Coat
+15 Dodge
+10% Stress
Damn this game is really tempting players to send their squads into the graves.... :(
What heroes?
Which positions?
Which skills?
Which trinkets?
I have several parties of heroes actually. I choose them dependant on their quirks and party compositions.
Dodge is actually one of the attributes I personally value highly next to speed and crits.
Also the additional 10% stress is negligible imo for a +15 dodge.
The reason why I'm asking is because I'm choosing my quests based largely on trinket rewards. And that coat will definitely come in handy, being not class specific to add up.
Wait until you are actually ready.
Hmmm, thanks for the advice. Sometimes jumping the gun will get people quitting the game prematurely due to unnecessary deaths.
I jumped when I saw the rarity of the trinket hmm.
You might be able to do it if you have good trinkets, but more likely than not you'll have to bail and it probably won't be worth it. Ancestor's Coat isn't really worth a trinket slot in the first place since dodge is rather unreliable. It's certainly not a super-vital trinket like Sun Ring where you might want to risk an underequipped party for it. What team were you planning on bringing and with what trinkets?
Only if you want them all to die.
Yeah got carried away seeing the availability of the Ancestor's Trinket. I reckon I will still be able to do them because my party is set up quite nicely and have most of their quirks and trinkets aligned with their function.
For the record it was a party of occ-pd-highwaymen-leper. (The leper has huge accuracy bonusses trinkets/dodge/crit chance as well as the fated quirk, whilst the PD has that very rare PD trinket that increases both blight and stun chances tremendously). Both the Occ and Highwaymen function as a versatile role and has nice heals/crit chance/dodge and speed trinkets.
However am not planning ro risk it anymore lol.
Yup I lost my first Bounty Hunter when I took a level 2 party into a veteran dungeon lol. Not too bad for a first timer on Darkest difficulty though; 30 hours in and he's the only one in the grave.
P/S: I hate bounty hunters anyway. Havent had them in my fully upgraded party rooster since that one died.
You might be able to do it, but not with that party and not with level 3 skills. It might be okay if you have level 4 weapons, skills, and armor and avoid the minimal-HP characters like Occultist however. I would probably focus on a tanky party, probably relying on MaA to shore up ACC somewhat (normally I'd prefer to rely on trinkets for ACC).
A hero with average accuracy with a level 5 skill (which is 105 base acc) generally needs +10 acc, so a Leper with level 3 chop/hew would need +30. You could manage it with Sun+Focus ring and MaA/Jester buffs I guess but your damage won't be incredible with a level 3 weapon and you're not getting much out of Leper anyway without a reliable puller (Occultist won't have a good pull chance even with a trinket). Everyone else will need +20 ACC; PD is going to be reliable thanks to high base accuracy and her Vial, but everyone else is going to miss constantly. Since you will be killing slowly with low ACC and poor weapons AND you have few ways of hitting the backline at all, it would just turn into an affliction-fest within a few fights.
There will be plenty more opportunities to get ancestrals. If you want more long champ dungeons to show up, increase the average resolve level of your roster and start gathering the things you need to go into champ dungeons safely.
