start with crimson court on or no?

I heard that turning crisom court on from the start of the game is a bad idea and makes the game waaay more difficult.

This would bassicly be my first time playing through the game ( I played it back when it was in early access a little and now i'm coming back to it) and i'm wondering for essentailly my first play through to turn it on from the start or can you turn it on later?

also what is the exact difference between darkest and radiant?

I recommend you play the game for :
.1-2 hours see if you like the reality of loosing many teams of ( different hero clases ) before getting the hang of the game
.if you like that then play the base game for as many hours as needed, then if you FINISH all the types of dungeons ( not the game ) in the base game ( green is easiest red is hardest , and darkest dungeon is unique )
.buy any/all the ( remaining 2 dlcs...) , have phun

No stay away from crimson court on first gameplay. Enable flagellant\districts parts of it if you want, but the court itself will make your run too hectic.

definitely not. It's a pretty mean difficulty spike to get past with no game knowledge in the first place. DD is one of those games where your success is pretty much based on how much you know, so you really are better off waiting until you know the basics.

If you're basically brand new, give the standard game a try for a a few hours, then ask yourself if you want things to get worse. You can play in several ways though with Crimson Court: turn off the Court itself, but still use the Flagellant and Districts, or any combination of those three options. Just using Flagellant and Districts is probably 'easier' than the base game.
