I just want to point that several things you say are actually completely invalid.
1- If you were playing on Radiant Mode, which is the recommended mode for new players, you would be able to take lv. 3/4 heroes into level 1 dungeons. The game even tells you this during difficulty selection.
2- Enemies almost never have higher speed if you're actually using fast heroes. Even for the enemies that do have higher speed, speed trinkets exist. If you were all the way at veteran missions you were almost guaranteed to have a Feather Crystal, Swift Cloak, Berserk Charm, Quick Draw Charm, or at the very least a Speed Stone. There are also tons of camping skills and quirks that buff speed, as well as tons of other methods of increasing it.
3- You can't expect to never be surprised on full light. Players getting surprised is still somewhat rare in high light, but just because it's a reduced chance doesn't mean it can't happen. Also, you can decrease your chance of being surprised with a number of trinkets and camping skills as well. Same applies to surprising enemies.
4- 19 hours is nothing. There are people here who have almost 400, and ranging all the way up to over 1000 hours. You are not going to get any sympathisers here because everyone here knows from experience that there's ways to prevent every single thing you complain about, especially when it comes to mitigating RNG.
Also, I'm playing Hollow Knight right now. Not that far in but so far everything has a method to dodge it, including boss attacks. Don't compare a combat intensive Metroidvania to a roguelite RPG, there's no basis for comparison whatsoever.
I go back to playing this because I realize that spending the time writing salt threads on forums isn't going to help make me get better at the game.
I suggest, restart the game then do it again with the knowledge you've gained. Sucks to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by the RNG but welcome to the Dungeon.
Only if you don't know how to deal with it.
Only if you don't know how to play it.
Then head on over to the review section where you can rant to your heart's content. Heading into a community of people who actually like the game merely to shout "I'm not one of you" is a tremendous waste of time. Mostly yours.
If anyone has done any time in the game you'll notice this is exactly your starting comp, targeted for exactly your starting mission, all the information to succeed (Party composition and skills matter, good variety of heroes and roles are key to victory) was right there in your face from the get go. Any failings or struggle you have with the game are solely your own, Read the stats, and ability descriptions look at enemy stats and plan accordingly. It'll become natural in time.
Thus far the only real salt is on the OP, everyone else has given criticism that whilst in some cases may not be nice is all too valid.
