They're probably saved in a different location than the official Steam version. Poke around your computer.

Here is the file path to where I normally find my saves
This PC/(Hardsrive Name)/Steam/Userdata/(Your account number)/262060/remote/

In the folder you will find Profile_(Number), 0 being you first game file and 8 being you last. From there do as you wish and make sure to back your files up before monipulating them.
Hopefully that helps

P.S. SunDrippedDevil, no offense but telling people to "Poke Around" doesn't help, I'm not trying to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but comments like that have a tendency to piss other people off.

Does it contain "Pirated" saves too?

No sorry, I just reread the question and I have no answer to that problem, if you do find the files at least you know where to put them.

This is a public forum, and you don't get to tell me what I can and can't post.

I don't condone piracy. I could have held their hand and told them exactly where to look (compensating for GOG or Steam version) but decided not to. I didn't want to help them.

I have the right to self-determination, and you weren't exactly any more help.

Edit: OP, since the cat is now out of the bag, check if you have more than one Steam User. It is likely that the saves are on another Steam user if it is a pirated Steam version.

Alternatively, GOG saves should be in the Documents folder under Darkest.

Don't pirate games in future, and/or don't expect sympathy if you have a issues as a result of doing so.

and @BoredGuy: I hope that you stub your toe.

itll liekly be in your localtemp folder
youll have to enable hidden directories to see it (i dont know your version best look it up)
for example some of my cracked saves are in

users -> crystal -> appdata -> local -> S K I D R O W -> and then a crap load of numbers
i dont know the exact number since i dont know if it changes for differant users
ps: without spaces, for some reason steam blocked it

Don't care. Don't pirate games. Steam has a refund system for a reason, so you can try stuff safely then refund.

You cant really tell me to not pirate games, also steam's refund system goes for 2 hour and i at least need to play 1 day of fullgameplay to taste the game so it doesnt really help.
I'd kindly ask you to leave my post.

I indeed own the thread,im not a moderator so i cant just remove your replies that wont help me and just plainly insulting.
SunDrippedDevil Dec 24, 2017 @ 6:17am
Why? Cause I called you out on pirating? Something that you actually did?

Also no, this thread is not your property no matter how much you would like it to be.

P.S. I also gave you possible solutions to your problem, but shame on me for setting my principles aside and actually trying to help you in the end.
