Basically, it used to be good (maybe too good.)
Now, in order to be decent (not good), it needs you to stack buffs toward finale, using skills like Solo, Dirk Stab or the two Songs to get somewhat close to the damage it used to make. (Without the crit rate, since they nerfed it for no specific reasons)
Basically not worth it, since the whole point of the game is to kill at round 1 or 2, not to wait for 10 turns to kill priority ennemies with a spell.
It may work if you manage to stack the buffs right before entering a boss room, tho as a matter of fact, it's very RNG dependant since you may never have a fight right before a boss, and stalling a fight right before a boss with a non-optimized team to do so might cost you more than what it gives you back.
Basically : Play Jester with 2 bleeds 2 songs, and ignore the rest.
...that used to work unthematically (unless Finale to open fight was part of the Jester's joke?) so well it had to be fixed and maybe now could use a small buff here or there.
